JULIA YUE WANG
Chinese Instructor

Ni Hao! My name is Julia Yue Wang. I m so excited to begin my second year as the Chinese Language teacher at Santa Monica Language Academy. I grew up in Beijing, China, and graduated at Univerisity of Califonia, Los Angeles, where I studied Education,  I have always had a passion for teaching Chinese with students and to help my students achieve language proficiency in Chinese as well as become better learners and effective communicators in Chinese. PIERRE BENS
​French Instructor

Bonjour! My name is Pierre, I am a French native teacher from Paris. In 2010, I started teaching at the ‘Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (American Campus)’, I developed and implemented strategic study plans and strategies for under-performing students to improve French language skills, subject matter comprehension and grades.
Traveling and teaching between Los Angeles, London and Paris from 2011 to 2014, I finally decided to stay in California.
 

EVA-LOTTA DAHL
Swedish Instructor

​Hej! My name is Eva-Lotta and I'm born and raised on an island called Öland in the south of Sweden. I have worked with teaching grownups on and off since I moved here, which I find so inspiring and motivating. As a teacher I think it is essential to personalize and adjust the teaching process according to the students particular need and goal with learning Swedish. I also hope to inspire my students to take part of the wonderful Swedish culture and traditions as well as learning the language! Jag hoppas att vi ses! (I hope to see you!)

YORI HATAKEYAMA
Japanese Instructor

​Konichiwa! My name is Yori. I'm from Ichikawa City in Chiba prefecture. When traveling to Japan you are most likely to arrive at Narita International Airport which is located in the Chiba prefecture. I have been teaching art and Japanese classes (one-on-one and group lessons) in Los Angeles since 2011. I look forward to helping you reach your goals. Whether learning the basics or advanced reading and writing, we'll get there in a fun and encouraging environment.

 Bonjour à tous! My name is Jasmin Chassagny. I am a native French teacher, originally from Paris, and have been teaching the french language in Santa Monica for over 7 years. I enjoy sharing my passion and love for the french language and culture. I was born in Toluca, Mexico but at the age of 23 I moved to United States. I have been a teacher for Spanish speakers for many years but teaching Spanish is my real passion. I’m strongly motivated when my students learn about the Latino culture especially for my multilingual background has helped me understand how to be difficult to learn any foreign language.

ELIDA CARMAGNOLA

Mi nombre es Elida Beatriz Carmagnola, soy Profesora de Lengua y Literatura Española, con especialización en Español para Extranjeros. La graduación en Psicología Social, me permite coordinar la interacción grupal, lo que facilita y armoniza el aprendizaje.
Anteriormente ejercí mi profesión en Argentina y Brasil y ahora es para mí un placer poder participar como profesora en las clases de Español en Santa Mónica Language Academy.
